Over Dubbing Sound
Over Dubbing sound is when you take a clip that is used in a film or video and you make noises and record them to replicate the environment that the clip was filmed in.
I had to come up with a number of sounds for example I had to record cars and traffic from out side as even though the clip was mainly inside you could still hear the cars outside. I also had to create banging and shaking sounds as in the film the characters shakes a vending machine. to do this we found a filing cabinet that when we shook it, it sounded like the vending machine being shaken.
the hardest thing is putting the sounds together and making them the right volume to match what would really of happened.
